The Roman soldiers did their job; they nailed each of the three convicted men to a cross.  Two of those men were convicted criminals and deserved their sentence.
One Man, the Son of God was without sin Himself – but as He was nailed to the cross it became an altar, a sacrificial altar.  And He took on Himself your sins and mine.  He took on the sins of those Roman soldiers and the Jewish rulers, Pilate and every sin that had been committed, is being committed and will be committed.

Amazing grace of God at work – there on that cross!

Amazing love of God at work – for you – there on that cross!

And as Jesus was dying He said:
(NASB) Luke 23:34 “…‘Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing.’”

Christ forgave His executioners as He was dying on that cross.
Jesus the Christ of God was having compassion on them – and us!

As Jesus was on that cross, He was treading our iniquities (sins) under His feet.
Faith in Jesus and what He did on the cross that day will save you and me for all eternity!  Faith in Jesus will lead you and me to confess our sins (our very real sins) and be given forgiveness, because of what Jesus did on that cross that day!

When we confess our sins, He is faithful; He is just to forgive us all our sins and cleans us from all unrighteousness.  (1 John 1:9)
Jesus is the One Who throws our sins into the depths of the sea!  Never more to be seen.  (Micah 7:19)

Christ Forgave From the Cross

He forgave you and me!

Praise Him!
