The prayer of the week is based on Psalm 37:7-8

Your Word, O God, tells me to “Be still before the Lord” and to wait patiently for You.  Jesus is my example, He did not fret when evil men carried out their wicked schemes against Him.  He refrained Himself from anger, He did not fret but committed His way to You.

When I am still before You, this gives me rest and refreshment for You are God.  And it is a blessing that You know all about my problems and hurts.

So I come and give You my life into Your hands.  For You are trustworthy.  You are the One on whom I can lean my full weight.

In the name of Your Son, Jesus, I pray.   Amen.
