Jesus spoke of being a stumbling block.  He was realistic when He said, “It is inevitable that stumbling blocks come, but woe to him through whom they come!”
(Luke 17:1)
  A stumbling block: unforgiveness.

What did Jesus say about forgiving others?
(NASB) Luke 17:3-4 “Be on your guard!  If your brother sins, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him.
4 ‘And if he sins against you seven times a day, and returns to you seven times, saying, ‘I repent,’ forgive him.”

What does the Lord God and you know, that no one else may know?
He and you know if you have fully (completely) forgiven or if you are holding back “just a little bit” of an unforgiving attitude.

Where does being unforgiving lead?  Resentment and bitterness take root and grow…relationships broken (and may even die).
Certainly your relationship with the living God is harmed when forgiveness is not fully given.

What do you need to do today – even if you don’t “feel like it” when another sins against you and asks you to forgive them.  Is there someone who you need to fully forgive today?

Forgiveness is on-going.  We pray to God and ask Him to forgive us.  Are we extending that kind of forgiveness to others?

Forgiveness releases you and me to love God and to love others.
