Jesus told a story…it may well be a true story for He did not call it a parable.  The following is a paraphrase of Luke 16:19-31.

There was a rich man, who dressed with splendor every day.  In sharp contrast was a poor man, Lazarus, a man covered with sores who daily lay at the gate of the rich man.
Lazarus longed for even the crumbs that fell from the rich man’s table…as he lay at the gate, even the dogs would come and lick his sores.
Lazarus died and the angels came and carried him to Abraham’s side (bosom).  The rich man also died and was buried.  (No angels came and carried him into heaven.)
The tormented rich man was in Hades (Hell) and he saw Lazarus in heaven.  He cried out to Abraham for mercy.  He asked for Lazarus to bring him a drink of cool water for his parched tongue.  He was in agony in the flames of Hell.

Abraham spoke to that agonized man in Hades…you received good things when you were living on earth and Lazarus did not, he is receiving comfort now.
Then that man in Hades begged Abraham to send Lazarus to his five brothers to warn them so that they would not “come to this place of torment.”
Abraham replied, your five brothers have Moses and the Prophets to read, let them hear and believe God’s truths.
That man in Hades said, if someone goes to them who have died, they will repent.
And Abraham said, “If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be persuaded even if someone rises from the dead.”

Jesus died on a cross (for you) and He rose from the dead.  Are you persuaded of your need for Jesus as your Savior?  No other “gods” have died for you.  No other “man” rose from the dead for you, for anyone!

Have you considered this:
Of the two men in this story…which one do you relate to in eternity?
It is a question of heaven…or…hell.
