Jesus was talking to a crowd who had witnessed a man being delivered from a demon by Him.  Some in that crowd accused Him of using the power of Satan, which Jesus refuted.

  A woman in that crowd shouted out:
(NASB) Luke 11:27“…‘Blessed is the womb that bore You and the breasts at which You nursed.’”

Mary, the mother of Jesus was blessed – she was chosen to birth the only begotten Son of God – the Lord Jesus Christ.

(NASB) Luke 11:28 “But He said, ‘On the contrary, blessed are those who hear the word of God and observe it.’”

Notice what Jesus said and how He expanded the blessing beyond His mother!
When you hear God’s word and put it into practice in the dailyness of life – you also are blessed!

Do you want God’s blessing?  Then do what Jesus says for you to do – Hear God’s word and Do it!

Jesus did not talk just to have the pages of the Bible filled.  The Lord God’s words are to be heard (are you hearing God’s true words as you worship Him?).
The Lord God’s words are to be observed.  Do you?  They are to be put into action in your home, when you’re behind the wheel of a vehicle, at your job, in your church.

First things first:  Blessed are you when you ask Jesus to forgive you of your sins.
Blessed are you when you tell others that Jesus is the Lord of your life.
Blessed are you when your faith is in Jesus and faith that God has raised Him from the dead.

Romans 10:8-10 is a great place to start with your life of faith.
(NASB) Romans 10:8-10 “But what does it say?  ‘The WORD IS NEAR YOU, in your mouth and in your heart’ – that is, the word of faith which we are preaching,
9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;
10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.”

Followers of Christ do you want to be blessed?  Then put God’s words into action after reading His words (which are truth).
