Followers of Christ (Christ is the Anointed One of God, Messiah), we are to keep seeking things above, that is a continuous action…keep seeking.  No matter how short a time or length of time you have received Christ as your Savior…keep seeking Him.

  No matter your emotional state, your mental acrobatics, your physical condition or your present circumstances ~ keep seeking things above!  Keep seeking what is eternal (God’s word is eternal ~ Psalm 119:89).

Think about this: heaven is that place which is above us and that is where Christ is!
That is where Christ Jesus is seated at the right hand of God!

(NASB) Colossians 3:1 “…IF you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.”

What is the conditional “IF”?
If you are a follower of Christ ~ not just because you call yourself a Christian ~ but you are a Christian because you have come to Him by faith and your life is a witness to that fact!

Do you meet the condition set by God?  Have you become a follower of Christ, and not just one who calls themselves a Christian?   Are you actively doing what God’s word says?

Have you had the privilege of leading another in that step of faith?  Has another come to you, asking you to help them to experience that open door into heaven through faith in Christ Jesus?

Keep seeking the things above…peace beyond comprehension, joy in this day, loved by God!
