The prayer of the week is based on Isaiah 55:6-7

Lord, Your word tells me to seek You while You may be found; to call on You while You are near.  This day, this time, is the right time to seek You with the intention of finding You.

Your word tells me that I need you, that I need to forsake “my” way and “my” thoughts… for “my” ways and thoughts are far below Yours.  They do not measure up to Your ways or Your thoughts.  I come to You, turning to You for Your mercy.  ‘Lord, have mercy on me’ is an old, old prayer…and yet it is still needful today.  Your mercy is what I need, right now, right here.  Why?  Because You freely pardon all who turn to You.  Thank You!

In the name of Jesus Who came that I might have Your pardon from my sins, Amen!
