(NASB) Luke 11:3 “Give us each day our daily bread.”

How often, during each day, am I consciously depending on God my Father?
Perhaps your prayer would be similar to mine, ‘I take You and Your provisions for granted.  Forgive me.’

For what do you take the living God for granted?  For health, food, a home, for relationships (family & friends), etc. cetera, etc. cetera,
etc. cetera.

People may ask – what about those who are starving or those who have been forced out of their homes, or a multitude of other horrendous possibilities?
Followers of Christ are to depend on God their Father – no matter their circumstances.
And…we are to ask Him to supply our daily needs ~ daily.

Dependence on God is to pray, expect, trust and actively wait for His answers.
(NASB) Proverbs 3:5-7 “Trust in the LORD with all your heart
And do not lean on your own understanding,
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He will make your paths straight,
7 Do not be wise in your own eyes;
Fear the LORD and turn away from evil.”

Proverbs chapter 3 is a wonderful part of God’s word on how to live wisely.  Verse 26 caught my eye, “For the LORD will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being caught.”   (NASB Proverbs 3:26)

Depending on the living God is to be confident in His love for you!

For the followers of Christ, God our Father delights in supplying what we need.  He is, after all, our Father.  He desires you to talk with Him (prayer).  He wants you to listen to His words of love to you (that is reading your Bible).  His words are words of love, wisdom, wise counsel, forgiveness; mercy reveals how His grace is extended to anyone who receives His Son as their Savior.
Think about this!  This Father sent His only begotten Son to take your deserved punishment for your sins.  That is agape love.  What a language to learn!

(NASB) John 3:16-17 “For God so loved the world (that’s you), that He gave His only begotten Son (for you), that whoever (is that you?) believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.
17 ‘For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him (that’s Jesus Christ, His Son).
