You, Oh Lord God, have defined love, Your divine love.

You say “This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us”

We, as Your followers, know that You loved us

long before we came to recognize Your love for us.

Your love sent Your Son, Your only begotten Son

“as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.”

Thank You for Your provision; You are the Provider for our sins.

Thank You for Your sacrificial love, for Your Son is the perfect Sacrifice, our Savior.

Thank You for Your plan of salvation from the beginning of creation; You are the One and only Creator.

All thanks and praise and honor and glory belong to You,

for You are the living God!

Only through faith in Your Son can anyone come into Your majestic and holy presence.
