The Giver of Life
Have you considered where your life began? Your physical life? Immediately you think of your parents. But where did the life of people begin?
The God of the Bible tells us:
(NASB) Genesis 2:7 “Then the LORD God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.”
The Creator God formed a man and then breathed into that man the breath which gave him life. Amazing truth.
The LORD God is the God of love, He is faithful, He is righteous, He dispenses true justice, He is the giver of life. In Him is life and from Him “is the fountain of life”. (Psalm 36:5-9)
God Himself promised “the hope of eternal life” long ages ago. And God cannot lie. (Titus 1:2)
The living God is the Giver of life. Many people believe that their god(s) require from them physical death as a sacrifice to please and placate their god(s). Not so with the God of the Holy Bible. For He Himself gave His Son to bear the punishment for my sins and yours on the altar of the cross.
For this act to be effective in our lives, we must receive Christ as our Savior…there is no other way to go to heaven. It is only through the action of Christ on the cross which saves us.
Jesus is the Giver of life…the most important question you will ever be asked is:
Have you received Him as your Savior?
Only by placing one’s faith in God’s Son, His only begotten Son, can anyone have eternal life in His presence.
(NASB) Romans 10:8 “…‘THE WORD IS NEAR YOU, in your mouth and in your heart’ – that is, the word of faith which we are preaching.,
9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;
10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.”
11 For the Scripture says, WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.”
