Jesus said that we are to treat others the way we want them to treat us.  (Luke 6:31)

Loving, Doing Good, Blessing, Praying:

How do you want others to treat you?

To overlook at least some of your faults and maybe even all of them?

To give you love without any strings attached (I’ll love you even if you don’t love me)

To forgive you when you ask to be forgiven

To smile often and even chuckle with you

To give an unasked for hug from time to time

To give you an unexpected gift (not expensive but thoughtful)

To return phone calls or messages

To not be critical (with the idea of changing you)

To not expect you to ever mess up

To realize you are a work in progress and God is doing the changing from the inside out

To put you before themselves (at least from time to time)

To have a give and take (not for you to give, give, give OR take, take, take)

To give you the gift of their undivided attention

To really be interested in you, really interested in what you do and think

How do you want others to treat you?

How are you treating others?

Jesus Christ’s words are to be listened to and put into action:
(NIV) Luke 6:31 “Do to others as you would have them do to you.”

And this includes those who are your enemies, who hate you, curse you and mistreat you.
Jesus said:
(NASB) Luke 6:27-28 “But I say to you who hear, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,
28 bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.”

Then He followed this up with “Treat others the same way you want them to treat you.”
(Luke 6:31)
