Why had a crowd in Galilee formed, made up of people from Judea and Jerusalem, from Tyre and Sidon?

(NASB) Luke 6:18-19 “who had come to hear Him (Jesus) and to be healed of their diseases; and those who were troubled with unclean spirits were being cured.
19 And all the people were trying to touch Him, for power was coming from Him and healing them all.”

Picture the scene…Jesus (having spent the night in prayer) walking down a mountainside with twelve men to a waiting throng.
A throng made up of people who were hungry to hear God’s words coming from the lips of Jesus.
People who had various diseases and physical ailments and others who were troubled by unclean spirits within…all wanted to be cured, healed and helped.
People reaching out, jostling to reach Jesus, and pushing their way forward…they wanted to be within the range of Jesus’ power.

How are you motivated to be in the presence of Jesus?
How determined are you to listen to God’s true word, from God Himself?

When you spend time alone, just you and Jesus and with the Holy Bible…do you “listen” and respond to God’s truths?

How have God’s words healed you?  If you have been healed, have you thanked Him?
How have God’s words challenged you to change something in your life?
How is your life reflecting the time you spend with the LORD in a quiet place?

What do others notice about you?  Do they see the results of your lack of spending time with God and His word?

Being in the presence of Jesus

will be seen in your words, your actions and your motives.
