Jesus came down a mountainside with His newly chosen twelve disciples.

(NASB) Luke 6:17 “Jesus came down with them and stood on a level place; and there was a large crowd of His disciples, and a great throng of people from all Judea and Jerusalem and the coastal region of Tyre and Sidon.”

What did Jesus see and hear?  (He had spent all night in prayer and perhaps He was tired but people were always first with Him.)
He probably heard low murmuring as those in the crowd talked with one another, then as Jesus approached, a quiet may have blanketed the crowd.

Who were those waiting in that large crowd?
People…needing Jesus who came from various occupations and circumstances.

When Jesus looked at this large crowd, what do you think He saw?
People…needing Him to tell them God’s truth.
People…needing Jesus to nurture them, train them and prepare them for coming cataclysmic events.

What can we know today?
Jesus knows our needs, yours and mine.
Jesus knows coming events which may be cataclysmic.
Jesus knows we need Him NOW!
Jesus knows we need to study His words and trust His truth, and to be teachable.

You are one of those people…needing Jesus!  I am one of those people…needing Jesus!

(NASB) Matthew 11:29-30 “Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS.
30 ‘For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.’”

We are to be yoked with Jesus…because we are those people…needing Jesus.
