Listening to Jesus is to be attentive, alert and acting on what you are being taught by Him!

(NASB) Luke 5:17 “One day He (Jesus) was teaching; and there were some Pharisees and teachers of the law sitting there, who had come from every village of Galilee and Judea and from Jerusalem; and the power of the Lord was present for Him to perform healing.”

People present
Many dignitaries, men with positions of power were present, people from all walks of life were present…and they were listening to Jesus.
The religious leaders were sitting…probably in positions of privilege.  Others would be standing around the edges of the room and listening through the doorways and at the windows.

Places represented
Many villages…from Galilee (the northern part of Israel), from Judea (the southern part of Israel), and from Jerusalem (the capital of Israel)…were present and listening to Jesus.
No matter where the people were sitting, standing or where they had come from, all were listening to Jesus as He taught the truths of God.
Are you listening to Jesus?

Power of God present
The power of the Lord was present for Jesus to heal those who were sick.

When you hear God’s words read or as you read them for yourself, are you listening to Jesus?  For the Holy Bible is God’s word to you and for you.  They come from God’s mind and heart…how are you responding as you listen to Jesus?
