Today, The Grapevine of Communication, are cell phones, iPads, the internet and all the ways people communicate with these devices.
How did people communicate in the time of Jesus?  By the grapevine of telling one, then another and another…verbally and personally.

(NASB) Luke 5:15 “But the news about Him was spreading even farther, and large crowds were gathering to hear Him and to be healed of their sicknesses.”

The excitement about what Jesus was teaching and how He was healing people spread, the grapevine was humming!
More and more people gathered wherever Jesus went.  No e-mails, no cell phones, no instant messaging and yet the news spread from one person to another, becoming a part of that grapevine of communication.

What causes you to be excited about Jesus?  Perhaps an excellent sermon which points to Jesus and God’s truths gives you something to ponder.  Music which exalts the Lord Jesus Christ will lift your thoughts to focus on the living God.

Sunday School classes are a great way to learn about the living God of the Bible (does your SS class do this)?

The news of people coming to hear Jesus and to be healed by Him was being broadcast to many.  God’s words are meaningful and need to be broadcast to many today, how are you helping with this?

Is God’s word making a difference in your life and does it show?  From your words and actions is God being glorified or are you?

You are either spreading God’s Good News by the way you think, act and live or…not.

Prayer is a good beginning step in becoming a part of The Grapevine of Communication!
