What can you know about the LORD in regard to oppression?

In Acts 7:24 and verse 34, Moses was a man God used to provide a way out of slavery for the Hebrew people in Egypt.
The Lord sees the oppression of His people.  He sees how they are treated.
He hears their cries for mercy from their oppression.
He provides a way out, He provides Messiah to have the ultimate victory.

In Psalm 9:7-10, the Lord Jesus (Messiah) will come to rule and reign during the Millennium – He will free those who are oppressed…what a day that will be!

True freedom, glorious freedom from affliction and tyranny in that day!  Those who oppress today will be judged at that time by the living God, the Judge of all the earth.

Jesus Christ is the true ‘knight in shining armor’ people are seeking today.
Sir Lancelot is nothing in comparison to the King who will come on His white horse! (See Revelation 19:11-16)

What about today?  What about the oppression of power, of selfishness, of bullying (a form of petty oppression)?
How can we stand in such a time as this?
Ephesians 6:6 tells us to not please people “but as servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart.”  (KJV)

How do we do God’s will?  Faith in God and love for God to be our motive as we do God’s will.

Also we have God’s armor!  Stand firm!
Resist seeking revenge!
Know God’s truth!
Choose God’s righteousness (not your own), wherever you walk today!
Be ready to share the Good News of peace!
Your faith is in the Living God of the Bible!
Your salvation is provided by Christ which protects you forever and ever!
Have God’s word embedded in your thoughts and actions and words!

AND Pray, Pray, Pray!

Jesus…sent by God…to Free the Oppressed!
