(NASB) Luke 1:67-75 “And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Spirit, and prophesied, saying:
68 ‘Blessed be the Lord God of Israel,
For He has visited us and accomplished redemption for His people,
69 And has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of David His servant –
70 As He spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets from of old –
71 Salvation FROM OUR ENEMIES,
And FROM THE HAND OF ALL WHO HATE US;
72 To show mercy toward our fathers,
And to remember His holy covenant,
73 The oath which He swore to Abraham our father,
74 To grant us that we, being rescued from the hand of our enemies,
Might serve Him without fear,
75 In holiness and righteousness before Him all our days.”

This Christ, this Savior, this God, and this Anointed One (Messiah) whom Zacharias foretold by the power of God the Holy Spirit: it is He Whom we are to worship through prayer, through faith and by the things we do.

To serve the living God of the Holy Scriptures is to do what He says…one example is:

(NASB) Matthew 5:44 “But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you…”

Faith in Jesus Christ is completely different (in thought and words and things we do) from any other religion in the world.  Only the God of the Bible is living and offers salvation.

(NASB) Habakkuk 2:4 “…But the righteous will live by his faith.”

What God promised through Zacharias’ prophecy came into being when Jesus was born in Bethlehem.

How shall you worship God this day?
