Jesus said…
(NASB) John 4:24 “God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”

To worship my Savior is to live my life in a way which pleases Him, honors Him – my faith in Jesus Christ lived out in my actions and my words.  To do this means to yield to His ways, not mine or someone else’s.

(Amplified) John 8:31-32 “So Jesus said to those Jews who had believed in Him, If you abide in My word [hold fast to My teachings and live in accordance with them], you are truly My disciples.
32And you will know the Truth, and the Truth will set you free.”

Truth is Jesus Christ.  To know Him, to follow Him as His disciples, to do what He says to do…we will know Jesus (the Truth) and we will be set free from deceptions, lies and misinformation.  To be freed from wrong thinking and freed to agree with God’s thoughts and words…true freedom.

Jesus is the Truth, but is the “truth” of people suppressing God’s Truth?
(NASB) Romans 1:18-19: “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,
19 because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them.”

(NASB) Romans 1:25 “For they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.”

(NASB) 1 John 1:8-9 “If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us.
9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

True worship begins with God and agreeing with Him, confessing our sins to Him.  He is faithful [have you found Him to be so in your life?] and He is righteous in all that He does – confessing your sins to Him is to be forgiven and cleansed from all unrighteousness.  Only through Christ Jesus can anyone be forgiven; for His death was what you and I deserve for our sins against God.  We need a Savior and He is Jesus the Christ (Messiah).

True freedom in Christ is to truly worship Him as Savior and Lord (Master).

No matter your circumstances…or what country you live in, you too can have the true freedom which is found in Christ alone.
