Mary went to see Elizabeth.  Both women were miraculously pregnant, Mary being a virgin and Elizabeth who was past her childbearing years.  Mary stayed about three months then she returned home to Nazareth.  (See Luke 1:26-27, 39, 56)

What Scripture does not say:
What the two women talked about, what was the due date for Mary – we don’t know.

What we do know:
Elizabeth’s due date came after Mary left for home.

Nine months of waiting for women who are pregnant.  Nine months of wondering what it would be like during delivery.
Nine months…waiting for two baby boys to be born.  Both sons were ordained by the living God – and each son had a specific purpose to fulfill.

What does God know about unborn babies?
(NASB) Psalm 139:13-16 “For You formed my inward parts;
You wove me in my mother’s womb.
14 I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Wonderful are Your works,
And my soul knows it very well.
15 My frame was not hidden from You,
When I was made in secret,
And skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth;
16 Your eyes have seen my unformed substance;
And in Your book were all written
The days that were ordained for me,
When as yet there was not one of them.”

You were also known by God before your conception.  Your children are known by God before their conception.  Nine months…of waiting to find out what God already knows.

It is safe for you to trust God for your salvation…your very best is in God’s mind.

Salvation through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ is the important first step – we are not to stop there but to grow and mature and begin to know God for Who He is.  Putting aside what we want God to be is sometimes difficult.

(NASB) Psalm 100:3 “Know that the LORD Himself is God;
It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves;
We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.”
