All the people, in the days after the flood, had the same language.  The people journeyed east and founded a new city…made of fired bricks and used tar as mortar.

(NASB) Genesis 11:4 “Then they said, ‘Come, let us build for ourselves a city, and a tower whose top will reach into heaven, and let us make for ourselves a name, otherwise we will be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth.’”

The peoples plan?  To build a city and a tower to reach into heaven.

Today, people are still trying to “reach into heaven” with their knowledge, experience, intellect…and they cannot.  It is impossible.
No matter the intricacies, the complicated devices, the rhetoric and the rituals which seem “spiritual”…none of these will get anyone “into heaven.”

The LORD God’s way into heaven is through the only Door or Gate He has established.  That way is through faith in His Son, the LORD Jesus Christ.

People’s way into heaven is complicated intricacy…God’s way into heaven is simple…simply faith.  Faith in the Lord Jesus to save from sins, to save from the wrath of God because of sins and to save for all eternity.

Jesus said:
(NASB) John 10:7-10 “…Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep.
8 ‘All who came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them.
9 ‘I am the door; if anyone enters through Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.
10 ‘The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.”

The Only Way into Heaven is through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.  He alone is the door through which anyone must enter into heaven.

(NIV) Romans 1:17 “For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from the first to last, just as it is written: ‘The righteous will live by faith.’”
