Delighting
Putting God and His word first in your life will be a blessing to you and to others.  Being immersed in God’s words, using His words for your prayers and way to live…studying diligently, using God’s words as your measuring rod when you compare all other actions, thoughts and theories…that is to be blessed indeed.

(NASB) Psalm 1:2 “But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in His law he meditates day and night.”

There are many spiritual exercises which people practice…meditation being one used by many religions of the world.
“Clearing the mind” is urged or strongly encouraged by many spiritual people.
This is not so when meditating as a follower of Christ.  We are to meditate on God’s words, His law…we have a subject on which to think.

Have you considered God’s character, His name on which to think?  On the right hand side of this devotional is a box entitled: “The Attributes and Names of God”.   We will add to this list from time to time.

(NASB) Psalm 62:1-2 “MY SOUL waits in silence for God only;
From Him is my salvation.
2 He only is my rock and my salvation,
My stronghold; I shall not be greatly shaken.”

Listening in the quietness of silence:
To sit or kneel before the living God of the Holy Bible…in silence ~
To think about God…in silence ~
To wait for God with expectancy…in silence ~
To listen…in silence ~

In silence…waiting for God alone; for it is from Him salvation comes.
In silence…waiting for God alone; for He alone is your rock, your salvation, your stronghold.
In silence…waiting for God alone is not to be greatly shaken or moved.

Delighting…Meditating…in silence…waiting for God only.
