What does God’s word say about the days of Noah?
(NASB) Genesis 6:11-13 “Now the earth was corrupt in the sight of God and the earth was filled with violence.
12 God looked on the earth, and behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted their way upon the earth.
13 Then God said to Noah, ‘The end of all flesh has come before Me; for the earth is filled with violence because of them; and behold, I am about to destroy them with the earth.”

In Genesis 6:6, God was grieved in His heart at people’s corruption and violence and He was sorry He had made man.  Every intent of the thoughts of the people’s hearts was only evil and that continually (See Genesis 6:5).

When this same God, the living God about Whom the Holy Bible speaks, looks at the world today…do you think His heart is grieved?

God is Sovereign and He is All-powerful.  He did destroy the face of the earth in the days of Noah.  The topography and the climate were changed…peoples sins – of corruption, violence and sin were judged by God then…and He will judge again.

What is the same today as in Noah’s day?  People are still corrupt and violent.  People still ignore, refute or denigrate the living God of the Holy Bible.
Messiah was promised to the people then.  Noah’s faith was in God’s promise and he walked with God (See Genesis 6:9)…Noah was living by faith in the living God.

What is different today from Noah’s day?    Today, Messiah has come…the Lord Jesus Christ has fulfilled the prophecies of God in the Old Testament (the Law and the Prophets)!  Not all the prophecies have been fulfilled yet, for Messiah has not completed all that God has for Him to do…when He comes the next time…those prophecies will be completed.
Messiah has come the first time to provide the way of salvation for all who will believe that He has lived, died and rose again in our behalf.

Salvation…from corruption, violence and sin against God…followers of Christ have trusted God.  They are saved through their faith in Messiah Jesus from their sins.

God judged the people for their choices in Noah’s day.  God will judge the people for their choices in this day…for this reason, it is imperative to receive Jesus Christ (Messiah) as Savior – today.  Who do you know who needs Christ Jesus’ protection from God’s judgment?

What if a person is neither corrupt nor violent – do they need a Savior?  Yes!  For all have fallen short of the glory of God!
(See Romans 3:23)
