God had told Adam that any tree in the garden was his to eat except one tree…the tree of the knowledge of good and evil…“…for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die.”  (See Genesis 2:16-17)

We are to listen to God and what He says and then do what He says.
God’s love is so immense that He gives you and me the freedom to choose to believe Him – or not.
God’s love for you and me yearns for us to love Him enough to obey Him.
God’s love warns us of sin against Him.  Sin always leads to death.  When Adam and Eve sinned, God’s words of warning happened immediately…they died to purity, innocence, sinlessness, and eternal life in God’s presence. (God did provide Adam and Eve with a covering – and what an example of Christ covering our nakedness!)
God in His love and mercy provided a way to have a right relationship with Him through the promise of Messiah.  That is why He sent Jesus into the world.

(NASB) John 3:16-17 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.
17 ‘For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.”

Jesus warned people during His life on earth, and He warns us today through the Holy Bible:  (NASB) John 8:24 “…I said to you that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.”

The LORD God could not have been plainer in His warning Adam.  The Lord Jesus could not have been plainer in warning the people.  The Holy Bible cannot be plainer in warning us today…God’s words are true and we need to listen up!

God’s love for you is immense, infinite, and sacrificial.  God’s love was costly to Him…

The world does not believe in the need of God’s truths.  Unbelief, disbelief, non-belief in God and His true words of warning is death.

Jesus came from heaven (Son of God) and lived on earth (Son of Man) to show us God.
Jesus was a living example of God Himself.  When you read the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John – walk with the Lord Jesus through the pages of the Holy Bible and believe in Him.

(NASB) John 8:12 “…I am the Light of the world, he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.”
