God’s fourth commandment:
(NASB) Exodus 20:8 “Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.”

For followers of Christ Jesus, we worship on the first day of the week.  That is the day in which He came back to life from the dead.

Do you remember this fact every Sunday, every ‘first day of the week’?
Do you celebrate Sunday because this is when Jesus was resurrected?  For the followers of Christ this fact is what our faith in Him is based upon, our hope of eternal life.

Christianity is different from all other religions and faiths…we have a resurrected Savior Who paid for our sins (we are forgiven by God through Jesus’ suffering and dying on the cross).

We have the sure promise of eternal life with Him – in eternity.  We do not need to fear death for when we die we will be immediately in the presence of our God and Savior.

(NASB) 1 Peter 1:3-5 “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
4 to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you,
5 who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.”

Every Sunday is the opportunity to Celebrate Christ’s resurrection!
