Cease!  Desist!  Don’t do it!  Stop!  Forsake!  All are strong admonitions and warnings and they come from God and His word.
These words are not yellow signal lights to slow down or to proceed with caution.  These words are red signal lights to cease and to stop!
This devotional has been considering the word “fret”.  What can fretting cause?  Perhaps deep-seated and long-standing fretting results in anger, wrath, anxiety, etc.  All of these things lead to evil.

(NASB) Psalm 37:8 “Cease from anger and forsake wrath;
Do not fret; it leads only to evildoing.”

 What causes you to fret?  Only you can answer that question…use the next few minutes to consider that question carefully and honestly.

What do you need to do about fretting?  Cease and forsake!

(NASB) 1 John 1:9  “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

Cease and Forsake!

Do what God says – period!
