What is causing you to fret, to worry, and to be anxious this day?  According to the dictionary fret: 1. To cause to be uneasy; distress; vex.  2.a. To gnaw or wear away. b. To produce a hole or worn spot in; chafe; corrode.
None of those definitive words appeals to me, do they you?  Just think about your physical body and what could happen to it as you fret!

God is so good to warn us…not to fret, a warning we should listen to and do something about in our thinking and in our lives.  Consider the above definition of ‘fret’…fretting wears away, chaffing and corroding from the inside.

What should we do?
(NASB) Psalm 37:7 “Rest in the LORD and patiently for Him;
Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way,
Because of the man who carries out wicked schemes.”

According to Psalm 37:7 in the Amplified Version of the Bible: “Be still and rest in the Lord; wait for Him and patiently lean yourself upon Him; fret not yourself because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked devices to pass.”

God warns you!  Don’t fret in your circumstances or with those who are ‘getting away’ with their schemes of undermining and subversions.

Rest in the LORD!

Wait patiently for Him!

Do not fret – today!
