Acquainted With Grief ~ Messiah
Easter is 5 ½ weeks away…as you live each day, how will you think about the Lord Jesus Christ? Have you contemplated the reason for Easter? It is designed by God for your salvation!
The last week of Jesus’ life was a preparation for the greatest miracle of all time. It was a time for prophecies to be fulfilled through Jesus the Christ – for you!
(NASB) Isaiah 53:10 “But the LORD was pleased…putting Him to grief.
(NASB) Isaiah 53:3-4 “He was despised and forsaken of men,
A man of sorrows and acquainted with grief…”
4 “Surely our griefs He Himself bore,
And our sorrows He carried…”
This year perhaps will be the first time you have deeply thought about the “Man of sorrows” who was despised, forsaken, ostracized – for you…
Perhaps you have never considered the grief He bore, or the fact that He carried your sorrows ~ He did this for you!
A song of praise may be your response to this great Savior:
(NASB) Isaiah 12:1-3 “THEN YOU will say on that day,
‘I will give thanks to You, O LORD;
For although You were angry with me,
Your anger has turned away,
And You comfort me.
2 ‘Behold, God is my salvation;
I will trust and not be afraid;
For the LORD GOD is my strength and song;
And He has become my salvation.’
3 Therefore you will joyously draw water
From the springs of salvation.”
