What has the LORD done for my freedom from sins?
He has sent His Son to die for my sins…the sins of omitting what I should do…the sins of committing what I should not do.

(NASB) John 3:16-17 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.
17 ‘For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.
18 ‘He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”

What does the LORD’S word say I need to do to be saved?  Believe in the name of the only begotten Son of God.  (John 3:18)
(NASB) Romans 10:9-10 “that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in  your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;
10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.”

Are you longing for this salvation?
(NASB) Psalm 119:174 “I long for Your salvation, O LORD,
And Your law is my delight.”

Do you long to be freed from saying words that are without meaning?  What about frivolous words, demeaning words, words that hurt others, and venomous words filled with poison?
Do you long to be freed from actions of rebellion (against God and His authority)?
What about actions of ‘getting even’ with another (for whatever your thinking has come up with)?
Perhaps you long to be freed from self-pity and/or a martyr attitude.

To delight in knowing the Lord and putting His ways into your life, that is to know true joy.
(NASB) Deuteronomy 6:4-5 “Hear, O Israel!  The LORD is our God, the LORD is one!
5 ‘Your shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.”

Do you?

How do your thoughts and actions reveal this longing

for God’s salvation?
