(NASB) 1 Corinthians 13:13 “But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love.”

The Amplified Bible defines faith, hope and love in the following way:

Faith – the “conviction and belief respecting man’s relation to God and divine things”

Hope – “joyful and confident expectation of eternal salvation”

Love – “true affection for God and man, growing out of God’s love for and in us”

2010 is going to be in the past and our future awaits us.  For the followers of Christ, we have a real hope, the reality of being children of God through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
(NASB) 1 Peter 1:3-5 “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
4 to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you,
5 who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.”

Hope – need not be illusive but a reality in your life.
Followers of Christ have been given a new life in Christ Jesus…He is your Living Hope…He has been resurrected from the dead…He has reserved a place in heaven for you…He has given you the protection of God’s power through your faith of His salvation…He will reveal it in His time.

Our hope is in the actual, factual reality of Christ’s work on the cross and through His resurrection…He is living in heaven this moment…remember He has been resurrected with a physical body…He will be seen, touched, heard as you see another person in the same room as you.

Hope – you can be joy-filled and have confident expectation of your eternal salvation through faith in Christ!

Hope – as 2011 replaces 2010, let us go forward into this future with joy…for our Lord and Savior is there!
