Paul was a gifted teacher, a great leader, a profound theologian, a wonderful and faithful friend.  Paul gave this important truth about himself: “but have not love, I am nothing.”

What are your gifts and strengths?  Do you speak well before groups of people?  When you teach, do people learn?  Do you have an excellent grasp of what God is saying in the Bible?  Can you interpret God’s divine will and purpose through your knowledge of the Bible?  Is your faith such that you can move mountains?  Are you effectively using your gifts?    Now comes the “but”…“but have not love”.  Do you have God’s love in you?  If you have received Christ Jesus as your Savior…you have been given the gift of love through the Holy Spirit of God.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 If you do not have God’s love in you…then you are nothing.

(NASB) 1 Corinthians 13:2 “If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.”

God’s love within enables Christ’s followers to love God

and to love others…with a Godly love.

No matter your strengths, if you do not have God’s love within, you cannot love.  All your pluses will add up to “nothing”.  (+++ = 0)  And “0” is useless.

Are you gifted…yet without love?  You can have God’s love within by receiving Christ Jesus as your Savior.                                                                                                                             (Do you want to know how to receive the greatest of all gifts from God?  Open the Resources tab at the top of this devotional, then open “God’s Plan of Salvation”.)

Receiving God’s love within
is to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior…your Savior.

Gifted…with love!
