(NASB) 1 Corinthians 13:1 “IF I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.”

What is the basis for your words?  What is your motive for your job or your ministry?
If your basis for doing what you do is for your benefit…you will produce sounds like a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
Read the above verse from the Amplified Bible:
“IF I [can] speak in the tongues of men and [even] of angels, but have not love (that reasoning, intentional, spiritual devotion such as is inspired by God’s love for and in us), I am only a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.”

Based on God’s word, to have love, a person needs to have God’s love within…and that comes only from salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ.
For the followers of Christ, salvation means: to be saved from our sins, the sins of omission as well as the sins of commission.  Salvation means knowing and having Jesus as our Savior.

Listen well to those you admire or have set on a pedestal…what is the underlying theme of their words?  Are the words you hear filled with “me”, “my”, and “I”?  What about your words as you speak to others?
Great speakers are sought after for their charisma, their delivery, and their use of words.  Listen to them…what is the basis of their speech?

Again read:
(Amplified Bible) 1 Corinthians 13:1 “IF I [can] speak in the tongues of men and [even] of angels, but have not love (that reasoning, intentional, spiritual devotion such as is inspired by God’s love for and in us), I am only a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.”

Noise…OR…Love?

God’s love for you, and in you, will be reflected in your words and actions.
