God’s solution for sin is through His only begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. 
  The prophet Isaiah wrote as if Christ had already taken the punishment for your sins and mine.
  The prophet Isaiah wrote as if Christ had already healed me by the wounds He suffered before and during His crucifixion.

(NASB) Isaiah 53:5 “But He was pierced through for our transgressions,
He was crushed for our iniquities;’
The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him,
And by His scourging we are healed.”

  Since God’s solution is through His Son, what is our responsibility?

(Amplified) Hebrews 2:3 “How shall we escape [appropriate retribution] if we neglect and refuse to pay attention to such a great salvation [as is now offered to us, letting it drift past us forever]?  For it was declared at first by the Lord [Himself], and it was confirmed to us and proved to be real  and  genuine by those who personally heard [Him speak].”

  We are responsible before God to receive His solution for our sins.
