God’s words, many times, provides definitions. This verse in James 3, when I break it into bite-sized pieces, is like a finger pointing at me:
(NIV) James 3:17 “But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate…”

What are some personal questions which could be asked concerning Godly wisdom? These questions require thought…reflective thought…

Are my motives and goals pure?
Do I really try to be at peace with others or do I insist on my way and cause another to become angry?
What about consideration of others needs and their feelings?

(NASB) Philippians 2:3-4 “Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves;
4 do not merely look out for your own personal interest, but also for the interests of others.”

Godly wisdom includes being considerate. When you and I are inconsiderate, we are being selfish.
Being considerate is to practice moderation without compromise. We are never to compromise God’s truth in order to keep peace.
Being considerate is to think about the opinions of others while keeping God’s truths (if our opinions are not used as the concluding answer, keeping God’s truths as the goal takes out all the subjectivity which may lead to hurt feelings).
