(NASB) James 3:17 “But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peace-loving…”

What are your goals in life?  Are you seeking your goals through contention, strife, insisting on doing things your way?

As you set your face toward your goals, perhaps you will ask God to give you His wisdom and if so, begin to seek peace and pursue it as you head toward those goals.

For anyone to be peace-loving, that may mean to re-evaluate motives, goals, actions and words.

(NIV) 1 Peter 3:10-12 “For, ‘Whoever would love life and see good days must keep his tongue from evil and his lips from deceitful speech.
11He must turn from evil and do good; he must seek peace and pursue it.
12For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”

To be peace-loving is to not harbor bitter envy or selfish ambition…

To be peace-loving is to be 180 degrees from causing strife, being contentious or causing anger.

To be peace-loving means…don’t try to get even with those who are unkind to you!

Being peace-loving does not mean “peace at any price”.

Being peace-loving does mean peace based on the purity and holiness of God.

Godly wisdom and earthly wisdom are in opposition.

~Godly wisdom is peace-loving~
