When you ask the Lord for wisdom – know that He will give it to you.

(NASB) James 1:5-7 “But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.  6 But he must ask in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind.
7 For that man ought not to expect that he will receive anything from the Lord.”

Do you have a specific problem for which you need wisdom from God?  I hope so…for then you will get to see God at work in your life!

Ultimately, exercising wisdom will affect you and others.  If you use earthly wisdom – some good may come of it…but it often turns ugly: envy, greed, selfish ambition and disorder will be the results.

On the other hand, if you use Godly wisdom – it will be without dissimulation, without hidden agendas, no selfishness, no ambitious ‘my way’.  Godly wisdom, that wisdom which is from heaven itself, will be pure. It will have pure motives, pure love for God and for others.

God’s wisdom has nothing impure in it, no hidden agendas, no contamination, no envy, no selfish ambition, no disorder or no evil practice.

To ask God for His wisdom is to be sure of its purity.

(NIV) James 3:17 “But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure…”
