(NASB) John 20:18 “Mary Magdalene came, announcing to the disciples, “I have seen the Lord,” and that He had said these things to her.”

Mary was a follower of Christ, and she saw the physically resurrected, living Lord Jesus Christ.

Today, His followers “see” the living Lord Jesus Christ through His word (the Holy Bible). His followers have been given the Holy Spirit; He is the One Who has been given to all who have received Jesus into their lives.

How does the Lord reveal Himself today? Through the Bible and through answers to specific prayers. (That is why specifics are necessary when we pray according to God’s word.)

How can anyone be sure that all of God’s words are true? Jesus said that He came to fulfill all Scripture (See Matthew 5:17-18).

Are you a skeptic? Ask God to show you His truth. And you may be amazed at His answer.

The wonder and awe of being able to say as Mary Magdalene said, “I have seen the Lord!”

Look for the Lord in your day, today. Wait with expectancy to “see” the Lord in this day!

What is your expectation? Mary’s expectation was for a dead body to be reburied. But the Lord Jesus changed that natural expectation into that which was beyond her expectation.

Will you be able to say “I have seen the Lord!” at the end of this day?
