Astounding Absoluteness of Trust
What were Jesus”™ last words before He drew His final breath?
(NASB) Luke 23:46 “And Jesus, crying out with a loud voice, said, “˜Father, INTO YOUR HANDS I COMMIT MY SPIRIT.”™ Having said this, He breathed His last.”
Jesus chose the moment to die ““ it was not suicide (for He had not put His body on the cross).
Jesus fulfilled prophecy, even with His last breath:
(NASB) Psalm 31:5 “Into Your hand I commit my spirit;
You have ransomed me, O LORD, God of truth.”
What were Jesus”™ last words? (NASB) Luke 23:46 “And Jesus, crying out with a loud voice, said, “˜Father, INTO YOUR HANDS I COMMIT MY SPIRIT.”™”
And He used a loud voice of triumph!
Not only had Jesus finished all that He had come to do (for you), He finished triumphantly!
Jesus”™ trust in His Father was absolute ““ in His circumstances and in His death. His trust was in His Father”™s care for His spirit.
You also can trust God”™s will and purpose for you and your nation. You and I can trust God in our circumstances today.
Into Your hand I commit my spirit, O LORD God of the Bible.
