Astounding Acceptance
Jesus was dying, the Son of Man in need of moisture to complete His words from the cross before His last breath.
No self-pity.
No martyr attitude.
No false humility.
No anger because He was dying.
No resignation to His coming death.
Jesus needed a drink to enable Him to speak. His astounding acceptance in fulfilling His Father”™s will is seen in the following verse:
(NASB) John 19:28 “After this, Jesus, knowing that all things had already been accomplished, to fulfill the Scripture, said, “˜I am thirsty.”™”
What is the next step for you as you walk into this day? What is God”™s will for you? What is the will of the God of the Holy Bible? What does God”™s word say to those who follow His Son? Never mind what people say, or those thoughts that come like darts into your mind at times. What does God”™s word actually say?
As you read God”™s word”¦write out your thoughts. Journaling is valuable.
You may desire to divide your journal into four columns ““ facing pages work nicely.
Column 1. What is God”™s word saying? Write out the verse(s) or put down the gist of the passage.
Column 2. What is God”™s word saying to me? Write down your thoughts opposite the verse in the next column.
Column 3. What am I going to do about it? Write out your questions.
Column 4. In the fourth column, write out your answers to your questions.
You are loved by God, the God of the Bible. He will never ask you to do something which is against His character or His words. You can pray for discernment to understand what the Bible is saying.
The first step for anyone “¦ is to accept Jesus as Savior. This step is imperative according to the Holy Bible. [You can see a way of receiving Christ in the Resources tab at the top of the page, then click on God”™s Plan of Salvation. ““ GPS ““ God”™s plan is indeed a direction finder to Him.]
