Jesus had ridden into Jerusalem in triumph and now it was time to go to the altar of the cross and become the perfect sacrifice for my sins and yours. As Jesus stood before His accusers He was looking beyond the present circumstances to His sure hope in His Father”™s purposes for Him. He would die on the cross “¦ that day. And don”™t you think that He was looking beyond the pain and suffering to what awaited Him in heaven? His Father was there!

We have celebrated Palm Sunday and are now approaching Good Friday and Easter.

What is “˜The Blessed Hope”™ for all those who follow Jesus as their Savior and Lord?

(NIV) Titus 2:11-14 “For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. 12It teaches us to say “˜No”™ to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, 13while we wait for the blessed hope ““ the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, 14who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.”

As followers of Christ we have a “˜Blessed Hope”™”¦

our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ

and His sure return.
