When falsely accused Jesus never answered”¦but when truth was spoken”¦He replied:

(NASB) Mark 14:61b-62 “Again the high priest was questioning Him, and saying to Him, “˜Are You the Christ, the Son of the Blessed One?”™

62 And Jesus said, “˜I am”¦”™”

Jesus, in His response to this interrogation, agreed with the truth. He was the Son of God and when He agreed, He was staking His claim of being equal with God. Jesus had never hidden this fact when He taught the crowds. (NASB) John 10:30 “I and the Father are one.”

Jesus stated the fact of Who He was, knowing He would be condemned. How often do we stand up and face our accusers and agree with them when they speak truth about our relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ?

Jesus is the Son of the Blessed One”¦and what privilege it is to be one of His followers, committed to Him. For those who come to this devotional from countries that persecute Christians”¦

(NIV) Ephesians 6:10-18 “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil”™s schemes. 12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

13Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests”¦”

Remember our brothers and sisters in Christ who are being imprisoned, persecuted and tortured for their faith:

(NIV) Ephesians 6:18b “be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.”
