(NASB) John 18:12 “So the Roman cohort and the commander and the officers of the Jews, arrested Jesus and bound Him”¦”

What audacity of those men who arrested the Creator, the King, as if He were a common criminal.

Jesus Christ (the only begotten Son of God), God of all power (Omnipotent) could have broken what bound Him, but He did not. His was a higher and nobler humility ““ for He had come for this hour, for this time to break the bondage of sin in my life and yours. For this to happen He had to be the sacrificial Lamb on the altar of the cross before God the Father.

A blood sacrifice is required for sins. And Jesus met that requirement as the sinless Son of Man to take the place of sinners. Has anyone else done this for you? No. Could anyone else do this for you? No.

(NASB) Philippians 2:6-8 “who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped,

7 but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men.

8 Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.”

Jesus Christ was bound

in order to free sinners (that is everyone) from sin.

Have you received your freedom?
