The meaning of “˜sanctify”™: to reserve for sacred use; consecrate

How were the eleven men who were followers of Jesus sanctified, set apart for sacred use? Jesus said it was by God”™s truth. Notice it was not people”™s truth but God”™s!

(NASB) John 17:17 “Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth.”

Jesus said in (NASB) John 8:31-32 “If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine;

32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”

Followers of Jesus know true freedom, no matter the circumstances. The condition is: If you hold to Jesus”™ teaching: then you are a true follower of Christ and then you will know the truth! And the wonder of it all”¦then the truth will set you free.

(NASB) John 17:17 “Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth.”

Freedom of God”™s truth sets true believer”™s apart for God”™s use”¦His word is truth”¦do you believe it?
