We are living in a smaller world. A nations”™ monetary system is often affected by other countries. Economies are affected based on trade agreements between countries. We are living in an unstable world, one that is becoming more and more fragile.

Followers of Christ are endangered in many countries today. But one thing we, as Christians, can do is to remain “˜in Christ”™ and glorify God ““ no matter the state of our countries.

Jesus told us how to do this:

(NASB) John 15:8 “My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples.” (underlining added)

What is the “˜this”™ which Jesus is talking about?

(NASB) John 15:7 “If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.”

The “˜this”™ is abiding in Christ Himself. The “˜this”™ is abiding in His words.

God the Father will be glorified in and through your life:

1) as you abide “˜in Christ”™.

2) As you take His words into your mind and actively put them into practice in your life.

It is God”™s words lived out; it is Christ”™s life in you that will glorify God!

Think about this: there is nothing in me or you that glorifies God ““ it is only God Himself, His Son, and His Word which glorifies Him!

For this reason, we are to remain, abide in Christ. Then, and only then, will we bear spiritual fruit.

Therefore, bearing spiritual fruit will show that we are followers of Christ, His disciples who glorifies God the Father.

Abiding in Christ is to bear fruit

so the world will know we are followers of Christ,

no matter what is happening in our countries.
