What is more powerful than a living example of a truth which is taught? Jesus did just that! He loved His Father and proved it by sacrificial obedience.

(NASB) John 14:31 “but so that the world may know that I love the Father, I do exactly as the Father commanded Me.”

Jesus was concerned for the world. That”™s you and me. He said that He wanted you and me to know that He loved His Father. And the best example of love for another is to listen and respond to what they say. And that is exactly what Jesus did. Out of love for His Father he obeyed”¦and went to the cross.

What about you? Do you make excuses or put off what you know you are to do in order to follow God”™s words in the Holy Bible?

When we are to do a hard thing because God says so”¦how do we respond? Do we find reasons not to do what He says are the right things to do? Do we put off doing what we know we are to do? Doing God”™s will, God”™s way requires sacrificial living.

Jesus lived, and died, sacrificially. He looked beyond the coming suffering and the shameful death on the cross to the resurrection which would follow. He looked to the promise of returning to heaven”¦He looked forward to going “˜home”™.

Jesus showed you and me that He loved His Father through obedience by doing God”™s commands; even to the point of going to the cross of crucifixion.

Love for God is to obey His words of truth, no matter the cost.
