Wise parents know what their children need”¦not only physically, but also what is needed for their mental, emotional, moral, social and spiritual health.

Wise parents meet their children”™s needs to the best of their abilities. Many times money is not the answer to children”™s basic needs”¦love is crucial in meeting their needs.

Jesus knows your needs and has already provided for you. Have you gone to Him for spiritual cleansing and renewal?

(NASB) John 13:5-6 “Then He poured water into the basin, and began to wash the disciples”™ feet and to wipe them with the towel with which He was girded.

6 So He came to Simon Peter. He said to Him, “˜Lord, do You wash my feet?”™”

How would you respond to Jesus, if He came to you to serve you as a Servant in your home? Only you can answer that.

Yet, that is just what He has already done for you when He died on the cross! He sacrificially and selflessly took your place as the sacrifice which the Holy God requires because of His holiness!

(NASB) John 13:7 “Jesus answered and said to him, “˜What I do you do not realize now, but you will understand hereafter.”™”

Jesus knew that His disciples would later understand His actions in showing them a true servant”™s attitude.

(NASB) John 13:8-9 “Peter said to Him, “˜Never shall You wash my feet!”™

Jesus answered him, “˜If I do not wash you, you have no part with Me.”™

9 Simon Peter said to Him, “˜Lord, then wash not only my feet, but also my hands and my head.”™”

Jesus knew Peter”™s need, He by-passed Peter”™s pride and presumption. Peter needed the washing which only Jesus can give to anyone ““ His death on the cross sacrificially washed away our sins by His blood, in the sight of God.

(NASB) John 13:10 “Jesus said to him, “˜He who has bathed needs only to wash his feet, but is completely clean; and you are clean, but not all of you.”™”

11 For He knew the one who was betraying him; for this reason He said, “˜Not all of you are clean”™”

Jesus knew His twelve disciples as individuals and their spiritual needs.

Jesus knew His betrayer and his spiritual need of repentance.

What comfort to know Jesus knows our needs”¦and His knowledge is unerringly correct.
