When I did not know Jesus as my Savior I would argue about my going to heaven without a personal relationship with Him. When I did not know what the Holy
Bible stated”¦I would argue that I was “˜good enough”™ to go to heaven. When anyone says that there are many ways to go to heaven ask them to read Matthew 7:13-14 and John 3:3-8.

Jesus leaves no doubts as to what He means. His words are clear and concise. He does not “pussyfoot” around or pull any punches. This is about life”¦your eternal life. He loves you too much not to speak His truth for your best good.

What options does anyone have in obtaining eternal life? There are no options; there is only one way ““ that one way is faith in Jesus Christ.

(NASB) Matthew 7:13 “Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it.”

Notice that there are no optional gates”¦the easy way is to go through the wide gate but it leads to destruction”¦at this point, what gate have you chosen?

(NASB) Matthew 7:14 “For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.”

God”™s parameters for “˜life”™ are narrow ““ there is no “˜wiggle”™ room.

Only few find that small gate and that narrow way which leads to life in the presence of the eternal God. Faith in the Lord Jesus is each person”™s responsibility.

Have you found that gate and have gone through it onto the narrow road which leads to heaven? Jesus said in (NIV) John 3:3 “In reply Jesus declared, “˜I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.”™”

Accepting the gift of eternal life is to receive Jesus into your life as your Savior. For all people are sinners”¦and all people need to be “˜saved”™ from their sins. That is why Jesus was born and lived and died and came to life again”¦that all people can be forgiven of their sins by the living God. There is no other way except God”™s way.

Have you personally prayed to God and asked Jesus to come into your (heart) and life? Have you recognized that you need Jesus to be your Savior? Have you realized that you sin against God and that you need His grace, His forgiveness, and His mercy? This can only be done through the Lord Jesus Christ.

Entering through the small gate

is to enter into heaven through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
