(NASB) Matthew 7:7-8 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

8“˜For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.”

In verse 8, “˜and he who seeks finds”™. Who are we to seek?

(NIV) Deuteronomy 4:29-30 “But if”¦you seek the Lord your God, and you will find Him if you search for Him with all your heart and all your soul.”

These words were for the children of Israel before they crossed from the wilderness into the land promised to them by God. And, I believe, that these words are for anyone who wants to seek and find God today.

What are we to seek? We can seek for many things”¦one of these “˜things”™ is wisdom. And how we need wisdom today”¦not the wisdom of our culture but godly wisdom which can only come from God.

(NASB) Proverbs 3:13-18 “How blessed is the man who finds wisdom

And the man who gains understanding.

14 For her profit is better than the profit of silver

And her gain better than fine gold.

15 She is more precious than jewels;

And nothing you desire compares with her.

16 Long life is in her right hand;

In her left hand are riches and honor.

17 Her ways are pleasant ways

And all her paths are peace.

18 She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her.”
