A man named Enoch was a blessed man, for he “˜walked with God”™. Wouldn”™t that be a great epitaph on a grave stone?

[YOUR NAME walked with God]

(See Genesis 5:21-24)

Enoch lived in a society that forgot God or deliberately turned its back on God. Today, some say that our culture has forgotten God or has chosen to ignore God.

To “˜walk with God”™ today is a courageous choice in many countries.

A question I ask myself, do I consciously “˜walk with God”™? To “˜walk with God”™ is a choice you and I make. When we ignore this opportunity or even reject it, we are actually rejecting or ignoring God Himself.

The Psalmist asked the Lord a question when he wrote of such a “˜walk”™:

(NASB) Psalm 15:1 “O LORD, who may abide in Your tent? Who may dwell on Your holy hill?”

Then the Psalmist answered the question of who will live in the presence of God:

(NASB) Psalm 15:2-5 “He who walks with integrity, and works righteousness,

And speaks truth in his heart.

3 He does not slander with his tongue,

Nor does evil to his neighbor,

Nor takes up a reproach against his friend;

4 In whose eyes a reprobate is despised,

But who honors those who fear the Lord;

He swears to his own hurt and does not change;

5 He does not put out his money at interest,

Nor does he take a bribe against the innocent.

He who does these things will never be shaken.”

How can anyone live such an exemplary life?

Only when we “˜walk with God”™ can we do these things.

Only when we “˜walk with God”™ will we be undisturbed; having a sense of well-being

Only when we “˜walk with God”™ will we have personal security and not be unsettled.

We will be blessed by God when Christ Jesus is our Savior and Lord of our lives as we consciously “˜walk with God”™.

Walking with God is a personal choice with eternal consequences.
