What is the best news you have received in the past week?

Is it the results of the elections? (For some this will be “˜bad news’).

Did you come into a sizeable amount of money?

Has the economy made a decided upturn?

What is the best news you have received this past week?

Perhaps it is the Gospel of Christ, that the Scriptures have “˜come alive’ for you for the first time in your life.

(NASB) Romans 1:16 “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.”

Good News! Faith in Jesus Christ is Good News. He is the power of God for salvation – for anyone who believes. All are welcome to place their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. What grace! It is the power of God at work.

The Gospel is the power of God for salvation!

(NASB) Romans 1:17 “For in it (the gospel) the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “BUT THE RIGHTEOUS man SHALL LIVE BY FAITH.”

Good News! Faith in Christ Jesus is Good News. He is the righteousness of God which has been revealed, and we are to live by faith in Him.

You and I need Jesus, He is the power of God, He is the righteousness of God which we need. How well do you know Jesus? In the coming weeks this devotional will focus on His life, His death and His resurrection. By the way, He came for you to have a relationship with God through Him.

The Gospel is the righteousness of God!

My prayer is that you will hunger and thirst

for His righteousness in your life.

How shall you pray today?
