(NASB) Ruth 4:15 “May he also be to you a restorer of life and a sustainer of your old age; for your daughter-in-law, who loves you and is better to you than seven sons, has given birth to him.”

***Naomi had been blessed with a daughter-in-law who loved her. Then she was blessed with a grandson by that same woman.

How many blessings have you received? All of us have been given blessing upon blessing, but how many have we received?

Naomi could have become so entrenched in her bitterness that she could have never received the blessings the Lord gave her. Those blessings were through her daughter-in-law and through the generosity of Boaz and the added blessing of a grandson.

What blessings has the Lord given you? Have you considered them recently?

Why not pause, right this moment, and think about how the Lord has blessed you ~

What is your response to Him Who has your best interests in mind? Is it one of praise and thanksgiving?

The women of Bethlehem also blessed Naomi with the following: “May he also be to you a restorer of life and a sustainer of your old age…”

Isn’t the Lord a Restorer of life? He has restored my life; He has given me life in place of death. My sins make it necessary for the need of a Savior, One Who takes my punishment, One Who has taken my place on the cross.

I deserve death and separation from God, but Jesus Christ has restored me, He has given me life ~ everlasting. He is the One Who gives me life to live this day as a redeemed child of God.

Can you say that? If not, pray and ask the God of the Bible to forgive you those things that He brings to your mind. Ask Him to send His Son to live within you, this is being born again. Belief that God the Father raised His Son from the dead is to know that He is the Giver of Life!

Then tell someone what you have just done. The Lord will bless you with the affirmation of your decision.

(NASB) Romans 10:8-9 “…”˜The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,’ that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming: 9 That if you confess with your mouth, “˜Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

(NIV) John 14:6 “Jesus answered, “I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

***Please consider Jesus’ words for yourself. Perhaps you already have and another needs to hear these words of life. Have you shared your commitment to the Lord Jesus with another recently?

One way to share the Lord Jesus is to point to God’s word through inviting another to church, or invite them to a solid Bible study or even share this devotional.

How shall you now pray?
